Grandeur Peak Hike

Saturday morning Steve and I woke up, saw what a lovely day it was, realized we didn't have anything planned for the day, and decided to spend it outdoors. We picked another hike up the beautiful and nearby Millcreek Canyon and headed out. The hike we selected was to Grandeur Peak and it was so beautiful that I absolutely had to share the photos with you.

We started all the way down on the the canyon floor. And you can see the next picture the highest peak where we were headed. Going into this hike I was a little naive about how strenuous it was - straight up! Don't worry, I finished it fine, but it was definitely no walk in the park.

So lovely

The wildflowers on the tops of the mountains were incredibly lovely. And everything was so green. I kind of wanted twirl around like Fraulein Maria.

Almost there

Looking West

Finally we made it to the top. The whole way up I kept thinking that it had better be worth it and it was; it definitely lived up to its name. We were awarded with 360 degree views of the surrounding area and it was beautiful.

From the top

We were all exhausted, even Pi, when we reached the bottom, but even still this is a hike I think I'd like to do again.

The complete set of photos can be found here.
